MSIN105P: Critical Analytical Thinking

The purpose of the module is to provide students with the concepts and tools required to analyse complex issues and develop powerful, well-grounded arguments. During the module, students analyse, write about and debate a set of topics that cover the types of problems and issues that managers in business have to deal with. The emphasis is on developing reasoned positions and making sound and compelling arguments that support those positions. The examples used during the module are drawn from business and management, but the concepts and tools can be applied to any discipline. The module also introduces students to psychological models of judgment and decision-making, such as Daniel Kahnenman’s System 1 – System 2 model.
